The i-Web Ink Jet Tower is an industrial self contained machine designed to provide an effective means to maximize Kodak Versamark ink jet print heads in wide web production and direct mail applications. This machine is installed inline with the press and ergonomically integrates the ink head carriage assemblies, dryers and necessary peripheral components to effectively print variable data at the print head rated speeds. Each module is designed to allow production for one side of the web. Two modules can be combined in various configurations to provide two sided printing capability. The towers are compact, with all systems and controls packaged together. All function components are uniquely integrated into the unit.

   
   
 

 

 
  • Unit incorporates all necessary elements while maintaining compact footprint with short web leads providing consistent tension leading to less waste & better print registration.
  • Fully integrated control system incorporates an 8” high resolution, color touch screen for operation of drives, dryers, air system and diagnostics. Remote(s) can be installed in any convenient location with full access to all towers (or any other I-WEB components) in the system.
  • Input direct drive servo pull roll with pneumatic nips.
  • Web driven encoder roll for Kodak imaging controller & scanner bar for mounting imaging scanner.
  • Carriage assembly for ink jet print heads. Carriage assembly is prepared for 2 rows of ink jet print heads.
  • Carriage assembly fully extends for un-obscured access to print heads for cleaning and initial loading.
  • 4 ½” and 9” print head widths can be utilized and are easily interchanged.
  • Head mounts are prepared for ink mist extractors.
  • Each print head cassette is motorized in the X and Y axis for precise micro positioning in both directions.
  • Ability to premake ready print head positions then fine tune on the run. Job storage capability.
  • Integrated umbilical cord and cable management system for convenient loading and support.
  • Dual infra red dryers mounted on slides for extension outside of tower for web up access and maintenance.
  • Digitally controlled, Dual filament, gold plated carbon I.R. bulbs arranged in multiple zones across the web
    Each zone is independently controlled including individual zone intensity that is linear with speed.
  • Air circulation system, independently vented for intake and exhaust with integrated blowers totally controlled via the touch screen. (Duct from provided in and output connections by customer)
  • Includes industrial connecters for power, air and inputs for press circuitry and encoder emulation signal from press (Encoder can be optionally supplied).
